The Central Testing Lab falls into a former Class I Metrology Certificate issued by the state. Geometric quantity parameter test, chemical composition analysis, mechanical performance test, metallographic test, and others in internal combustion parts can be performed. Some advanced inspection instruments are introduced from the United States , Great Britain and Germany , for instance, Baird direct-reading spectrometer from the United States , Taylor roundness measuring instrument from Great Britain . Some measuring systems concerning piston and piston ring are also introduced from Germany: three-coordinate measuring meter, universal tool microscope, universal length meter, vertical optical instrument, zyglo inspection machine, magnetic crack detection machine, ultrasonic detection machine, metallographic microscope, universal tensile strength tester, sclerometer, micro-cslerometer, elasticity scales.
